Sodium Diet -
Quite often people tend to forget the
importance of sodium in ones diet program. Sodium is essential to the body. It is a
mineral that helps the body regulate fluid balance. The
amount of sodium you can handle depends solely on the person
and there individual needs. Regular amounts of sodium can help the body regulate
fluids, but too much can have an adverse affect and retain
too much fluid.
High amounts of sodium can be harmful
to the body. However
a well balanced diet program can keep you healthy, fit and
it will prevent high blood
pressure
Millions of people add salt
to the foods they eat in their daily diets. It
is usually added for taste or to accentuate a dish.
Minimizing this can have the biggest change of sodium
in anyone’s diet. The
runner up is fast food.
Even Diet Cola has high amounts of sodium.
An excellent example of a low sodium
breakfast you could try with any diet program would be an orange, piece of toast, cereal and
or coffee. A
nice low sodium lunch could include a glass of milk, bowl of
soup (preferably chicken noodle) orange and unsalted
crackers.
