Low Calorie Diet -

A low calorie diet or "low fat diet" are diets which reduce the amount of calories the body receives a day.  Low calorie diets work on the theory that calories provide us with fuel or “energy” for the activities our bodies undergo.  Hence, if you reduce the amount of calories to less than the body needs, it will burn fat to replace the loss.

There are many tips to make a low calorie diet successful.  Some you can try are: using smaller plates (you put less food on your plate) keep a food diary of what you’ve eaten and when.  The single most important rule is to let your body tell you when you are full.

A lot of low calorie diet-programs fail because people follow the rule “Clean up your Plate” a term used frequently by many.  Just because the food is there, does not mean you need to eat it  A low calorie diet can be successful as long as the participants do not get discouraged and pick a plan that they can follow with.  Don’t set your goals too high, but high enough to try for.
