Diet -
Candida
is yeast and a fungus.
Naturally, it exists in everyone’s intestines,
usually in small amounts.
It is most known for its cause as a yeast infection
in woman. People
who are more at risk are those who use oral contraceptives,
pregnant woman and those who have do not practice a low fat
diet which would contain foods that have high
amounts of yeast or refined sugars.
A
diet that is low in fat is an important part of a Candida treatment program.
Longevity of the diet depends on how long the
symptoms have been apparent and the severity of the
problems. Most
people notice improvements from 2-4 weeks.
Foods to eliminate completely as part of your
diet should include anything that contains yeast
(bread, rolls & crackers) and foods that contain a lot
of sugar such as fruits, honey and syrup.
Mushrooms should be cut back as well because they are
a type of fungi. Anything
high in carbohydrates should also be avoided, but foods that
are high in protein such as meat, chicken, poultry will be
fine.
